I would love to know what the town says about this the next day? Clearly, not everyone that lives there was at the statue unveiling. Did they experience this?

Back to the conditions, I live on the East Coast, so that is a whole different animal. But my cousins in Northern California get plenty of snow, and they are only about a half-hour from the shore. Up in the mountains like a bunch of fuckin' lunatics.

Inherently, this movie is about storytelling. So much of it is driven forward by people reading from journals, or recollecting a story from the past.
Not to get too deep, but it’s the lies we tell each other in stories, for better or worse.
