Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day, first celebrated in 1995 following the February 1993 publication of a book titled Random Acts of Kindness. This year’s theme is “The Science of Kindness,” exploring how kindness positively impacts our brains, bodies and overall well-being.

The Freedom Quilting Bee grew from these purchases. In 1969, the group completed a dedicated studio and office building named the MLK Memorial Sewing Center. Profits were reinvested into the community, funding essential services such as a daycare center that operated from 1970 to 1996. /6

My dad passed away peacefully this morning. An Air Force officer, a Navigator who served during the Cold War and Vietnam Nam. In this photo he’s the guy on the right getting a recognition - along with the traditional hose-down lol - for his 100th mission. Love you Dad. ❤️
