I've jailbroken my old kindle and installed koreader on it and I think it runs better than it ever did. Possibly something to look into! kindlemodding.org/jailbreaking...

Oh, I have 4.5” x 10” sheets which leaves me with a .5” x 10” strip when I cut it down for 4x5!
A monochrome image of some dogwood blossoms.
It appears the sensitive of the Structrix D7 is to close to “normal” or that of dry plates, basically blue and UV sensitivity only but it is very sharp. This is from a 16mm x 12mm 110 negative. #believeinfilm #filmisnotdead

Also, if you’re just testing a medium format camera you can often load a single sheet of instax mini in a dark bag, shoot it, then load the film back into an instax cartridge and eject it out of a camera to develop. Sound more arduous than it is and faster then developing paper.

Good mornin'! For #halfframefriday I took some shots with my Canon Dial 35-2. One of the wildest cameras I own. It's an early 1970s creation that is a auto-exposure, auto winding camera powered primarily by spring tension. #believeinfilm #blackandwhite #bw #film #halfframe

Found out that my Retina IIIc wasn't actually broken. It just has a new quirk. You have to wind it all the way (move the wind lever through the full range) otherwise the shutter fires at what looks like 1/25. Here's a shot taken with it and Tri-X 400. #believeinfilm #vintagecamera #airplane #tree

Got my hands on a Zorki-4K! Probably the closest I'll ever get to owning a Leica. Color film is 500T, BW is Kentmere 400. Lens is Jupiter 8 50mm/f2 #believeinfilm #dog #skateboard #russiancamera

Got my hands on the smallest film SLR: the Pentax Auto 110! Also, worked on reloading some 110 cartridges with first FPP BW Double8 film, then more Structrix D7 cut-offs. #believeinfilm #16mm #110film #photography

Turns out the little extra strip I get when I cut down the 4.5x10 X-Ray film for 4X5 fits in the Minolta 16 and is sharp enough to get a bit of detail even at that small size. #believeinfilm #spycamera #16mm #film #photography #dog

Testing out my new Peak Design tripod! It's the first new-ish tripod I've ever had and it's so compact and it'll hold the graflex!

Lovely shot! Judging by the reds, I’d say UltraMax

Repaired the shutter on my thrifted Ricohflex VI! A simple mechanism powered entirely by spring tension and the weight of the two shutter leafs (leaves?). If you have a Ricohflex with the Riken shutter (B, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100), store it at 1/25 to keep the second spring tension off. #believeinfilm
Just took my Richoflex VI apart and can confirm there are no detents! The shutter is super simple and relies entirely on the weight of the shutter leafs and two springs for all its speeds. Hot tip: store it at 1/25 otherwise the second spring is tensioned even when the shutter isn’t cocked.

Snagged some Structurix D7 structural inspection X-Ray film off of ebay. D7 is advertised as "High Speed" but some testing seems to indicate for normal photographic purposes it sits at 3 ISO. #believeinfilm #experimental #photography #analogue #largeformat #xray #dog

For 4x5 I shoot mostly 8x10 X-ray film from eBay that I cut down which is like $0.15 per shot USD. For 120, I’ve shot a lot of kentmere 400 from FPP which was $4.99/roll, I just bought a bulk roll of 500T in 65mm for color $3ish/roll. For 35mm I bulk roll Kentmere 400, and 500T (short ends), $3.
I think it’s relabeled foma 100

Testing out an old-timey style of flash operation since my Graflex lost its ability to do flash sync with the curtain shutter at some point. I stop the lens way down, open the shutter, fire the flash manually, then close the shutter. #believeinfilm #largeformat #doggo #photography
