I just tried to use the new TVNZ app on my telly and it's completely non-functional.

It takes forever to load when I click on a programme. And when it finally connects, it plays an ad, then a few seconds of the programme, before crashing completely.

How will I get my Taskmaster fix now?

Maybe I need to do that too. I've been watching ESPN on Sky for my hockey requirements and it's annoying.

TVNZ seems to have done an excellent job updating the back end of their TVNZ+ to allow it, a public broadcaster, to charge for stuff & to make the user experience worse in every single respect than the previous version of the app.

Including buffering for the full minute before playing anything.

ESPN is really poor. We used to watch TSN in Canada and it's sooo much better.

This is something that worries me too. They've been governing like people who a) don't think they'll ever win another election so they have to do it all now, or b) don't think they'll lose another election, and that means electoral shenanigans.
