One of my favourite live albums to add to the #1980AlbumChallenge. "Paris" by #Supertramp was released as a double album a year after the twenty-million selling "Breakfast in America"!
Yet another album partaking in the #1980AlbumChallenge. The #Pretenders brilliant debut spawned hits "Kid", "Stop Your Sobbing" and "Brass in Pocket". My personal favourite however remains the reggae-tinged "Private Life".
Who else bought this gem when it came out??

Spoke too soon
Continuing with the #1980AlbumChallenge, it's Aussies #SplitEnz and their commercial breakthrough "True Colours".
There were multiple colour variations of this record cover and an etched pressing on vinyl. Features their biggest hit "I Got You" which #CrowdedHouse has covered over the years.
As part of the #1980AlbumChallenge I am commencing, dropping the needle on "Permanent Waves". A change in direction after the 70s with more synthesizer and shorter tracks.
The entire #Rush catalogue on vinyl has seen a spike in value as new generations become fans. One of my favourites for sure.
Knew it Philly just like l know you will be paying $5 a gallon soon!
Agree that Schenker's departure weakened the band and that album. Their next effort was far stronger.

Playing "Rock & Roll Machine" by a band I will get to see live forty years after the last time I saw them back in Sudbury This time with my son who is a big #Triumph, #RikEmmett and #PhilX fan. This time we're seeing them at the Bell Centre in Laval Quebec.
Who else is going to see them live?
Dropping the needle on "Sonic Temple" by #TheCult. Produced by Bob Rock, the album married their earlier albums with "Electric" spawning hits "Fire Woman" and "Sweet Soul Sister". The album, like most released in the late 80s, appreciated in value as most of us turned to CDs.

Before the Ian Hunter / Mott The Hoople covers, #GreatWhite released an excellent debut album. Featuring vocalist Jack Russell and guitarist Mark Kendall, this was a barnburner of an album that I bought back in Sudbury as a teenager. Great cover of the Who's "Substitute".

FINALLY landed this gem to add to the collection. The debut album by #Zephyr featuring the amazing Candy Givens on vocals and harmonica and 18 year old guitar wonder #TommyBolin on the guitar.
