Q for those of you who’ve read the #Outlander 📖series: how much of a commitment is it, as in, is it still a satisfying read if you only read the 1st book (or 1st few)? #booksky #amreading

that is so helpful to know if a manuscript could be a good match! hope this becomes a MSWL trend!
every headline about pedro pascal only makes him hotter and more attractive actually
Yes! It took me a few years to ‘trust the process’ if im honest 😅 Fallow times are still scary, but ever since realizing they’re a pattern, I’ve gotten better at enjoying the benefits and no longer stress as much
Now I’m embracing them as an opportunity to rest, reset my brain, take in all the amazing feedback I got from #RevPit and my fellow CCs, and begin daydreaming about my next book… before heading to the query trenches again 🤞
#writesky #writingcommunity
Between #amquerying the novel and participating in #RevPit I’ve been in the biggest writing slump ever (500 words written (on a new book project) in a month!)
Such ‘fallow periods’ happen to me at the end of every meaningful project. They used to scare tf out of me.
I didn’t win #RevPit, but getting an email from @jenichappelle.bsky.social telling me to expect feedback absolutely made my WEEK. I’m so glad I participated and got to know such lovely and generous humans (authors and editors alike)!
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up!! Though I didn’t win, I had so much fun participating this year. Huge thanks again to all the #RevPit editors who brought this event to life!
And fellow non-winners… keep writing 💪♥️
Thank you for doing this!
So many people dream of writing a novel and never do. YOU wrote a whole novel. Drafted, rewrote, edited, revised, and were brave enough to share it with others. No matter what happens tomorrow, you should all be so proud of yourselves! 💪
All the #RevPit editors are available to hire + for some of us, editing is our day job.
If you enjoyed + got useful info from this event, the best way to help/thank us is to recommend us to authors looking for an editor. Most of my new clients come to me by word-of-mouth, so it really does help! 🥰
Thank you!!
Thanks Allison! Super helpful!
Regardless of #RevPit results, I plan to: get to know some of my fellow authors better / resume querying my novel / start writing my next one / maybe blow off some steam w a little fanfic or two 😁
Same here 😥
*nail biting intensifies*
Truer words ☝️☝️☝️😅
Thanks so much for all your insights!
Are there any tell tale signs in FP / QLs that make you go “this writer is still inexperienced”? I know it when I see it, but it’s hard to pinpoint what could be improved.
I admit, I peek at age and genre first 😅 then go back to try to learn something from every one of the queries and pages haha
I have a nosy question for the #RevPit editors (apologies if it’s been asked before) ☝️
We got #RevPies of genres, ages, & now I’m curious about base sizes! On average, how many subs does a RevPit editor get? 👀
#revpitwaiting #revpitteaser #revpitteasers
I’m grateful for the fun & games, the sense of community, the awesome insights, and the editors’ incredible generosity. Every time I do #RevPit I’m amazed. Y’all are the best 🤩
Yay! Happy for you 🤩
Thanks Jeni!! Your #10queries are amazing. So informative. Feel free to procrastinate w RevPit queries any time!! 😄🤩
Same here! I’m glad I’m not alone 😭
Learned a lot and will have another look at my comps for sure! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
I don’t think mine was in there so I won’t try to guess the authors… 👀 can’t wait for next Tuesday!
So helpful! Gonna go look at my query package rn 🏃Thank you for this ❤️
