But this bill won't help that you have to have a 6 month prognosis on terminal illness and be lucid enough to make the decision.

Not wishing to be cynical but, with current shortages of doctors and judges, most patients would be dead before a decision could be taken.
I've discussed assisted dying with a Belgian friend; they have that option similar to NL and CH. It seems kinder to remove the fear of an agonised end.

2. This bill will apply to very few people. It requires two independent Dr's and a high court judge.

1. What people are not understanding is that this bill is only relevant to terminal illness within 6 months of prognosis. The decision made by the patient when lucid. It needs much deeper discussion before rushing through. Yes, everyone has a right to choice, but as it stands.
