Would it have fixed it if I’d alternated balls of yarn? For the future I mean, I’m absolutely not going to reknit this one!

I’m currently working through summer lee’s the sock project book! Next up is the forethought heel! Which looks like almost the same as the afterthought heel except you use waste yarn instead of cutting!
I finished my farmhouse cardigan!!!! Well, it’s now damp and drying and then I need to add buttons, but it’s mostly finished! I’m so glad I pressed on and kept knitting bc it looks fantastic! I didn’t even run out of yarn (which was a concern) I’m so happy with the look and fit! #knitting #knitsky 🧶
Thank you!

A cute pair of grass green socks with turquoise heels and toes. Please excuse the leg hair, I don’t shave during the winter.
Freshly knitted socks! This is my second pair ever! I did an afterthought heel! I’m so proud of them! #knitting #sockknitting #knitsky 🧶
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
Okay so here’s what I was worried about. Now that I’ve joined the body and sleeves and started the raglan, there is a stark difference in the stripe pattern where the sleeve joins. But you know what. It’s still cute. I’m not as bothered as I thought I’d be. #knitting #knitsky 🧶
3 handspun skeins of yarn. Purple, yellow/green, and orange/pink.
Side by side comparison of my handspun yarns. Each came from a 4oz braid. 91 yds, 262 yds, 760 yds. So rewarding to see my progress! #spinning #handspun 🧶
Looks so good! Those splits tho!!
Thank you! I loved it this morning. There are just some details I’m not happy with, like the pockets are too small and the edge of the button band is messy. Also I’m worried I’m going to run out of yarn and then all this work will be for nothing 😕
Joined the body and sleeves. I think it’s cute but I’m also having the urge to frog the whole thing and use the yarn for something else. #knitting #knitsky 🧶
Look at this gorgeous yarn! 760 yards of 2-ply and it is still soft! The fiber is Targhee, dyed by a local Minnesota dyer, Honeygold acres. I’m so proud of this yarn! #spinning #handspun 🧶
Knit with bigger needles, and bc these needles are so skinny they bent.
Willow has already fixed it. She popped it in a vise and restraightened it. Which was scary to watch but it worked. I need to pay attention while I’m knitting and figure out how I did it so I can stop doing it. My theory is that I always put a lot of pressure on one needle when I knit, but i usually
A close up picture picture of a pair of knitting needles, one of which is bent! A gorgeous green sock is in the background.
After knitting exactly one sock with these new chiaogoo US size 0 (2mm) stainless steel needles, one of the needles is bent! Has anyone ever seen something like this before? I am fairly sure I did not step on them, so I think I bent them with the sheer power of my knitting! #knitting #knitsky 🧶
Thank youuuu! 😊
Me too! It’s broken rib!
Thank you! I love the colors! These eggs sat in my local yarn store and I admired them every time I came in, but was intimidated by the price tag, and then one day one of them was missing and I was like, how dare someone buy MY dragon eggs! So I finally bought them!
Gorgeous photo of some gorgeous knitting! I love that color!
Thanks so much!
A dragon egg of yarn sits atop a knitted rectangle of fabric, framed by two detached sleeves. A blurry cat is in the background.
Joined my last dragon egg of Noro Ito. 3 more inches of body to knit before I join the sleeves! My cat jumped in the photo at the last second! #knitting #knitsky 🧶
Thank you for the well wishes! Yes those are knitting needles. She loves sitting on my projects lol. No knitting only pets!
The phrase "turnabout is fair play" is coming to mind.
A VERY full bobbin of pink, orange, and purple yarn
Now that’s what I call a full bobbin! #spinning #handspun #knitsky 🧶 Last night I finished plying my first yarn of 2025! The fiber is US Targhee, dyed at a local Minnesota dyer.
Wow this is incredible!
