Hearing that DOGE went into the Dept of Education today and shut down almost the entirety of the department's in-house research arm, Institute of Educational Sciences, cancelling contracts totally about $900m.
Interesting take. Investment vs. predation.

An interesting viewpoint that I really think my followers should investigate. π
About to find out if we still live in a somewhat functioning democracy or if the Trump admin will decide to ignore courts and become a dictatorship.
As I wrote this, figured some would think this hyperbole. But if they ignore the other branches of government?

Some commenting about NIH research support don't appreciate how incredibly competitive it is to get these funds. A typical study section reviews ~70-100 grants, most of which are outstanding but only ~10 end up getting funded. Can't think of any process in the private sector that is as competitive

I hate to tell you but they're designed that way. They're designed to get you to engage more. Because they're designing even more advanced models on top of that. And I'm saying that knowing that I'm writing on a pixel phone. π

Consider sharing a hypothetical. ππ::π€―π€¬π₯°ππ¦3$::
Money is information. Information is money.
The economy is people. If the economy slows down to a crawl but keeps functioning information loss really meaningless except to money? Asking for a friend. π
Occam's razor. An established principle of little kids is to throw a tantrum but still comply. π Slow the economy down across all sectors. Hypothetically. Or not? π€― Keep the economy going and information loss is meaningless. Money in the USA is information. π

I like your work protecting systems. Would love to discuss hypotheticals for localized node-based geolocation signal sharing paradigm. π

Interesting. So they're applying the Google research paper on quantum computing design. But applying it to a medical field. Brilliant.
