A heartfelt thank you to my mentors @ericbilly.bsky.social and Manuel Scheidmann for their unwavering support and co‑authorship, and to the Novartis BR Discovery Postdoctoral Program for their continued support. (3/3)
Chimeroids may complement existing metastasis assays by providing a scalable and human‑specific platform for dissecting cancer-TME interactions, as well as genetic and drug perturbation screens, bringing us closer to unraveling the complexities of human metastasis and aiding drug development. (2/3)
Excited to share our perspective review on how stem cell-derived organoids, when co‑cultured with cancer cells to form chimeroids, may offer human‑relevant platforms to study metastatic colonization across the brain, lung, liver, and bone. (1/3)
🚀 The #BaCell3D2026 speaker lineup is here!
We are excited to welcome an outstanding group of experts in organoids and advanced 3D cellular systems to Basel this June!
⏳Our meetings tend to fill up quickly, so we encourage you to secure your spot early: conferences.unibas.ch/frontend/ind...
Highly recommended!
Are 90% of cancer-related deaths due to metastasis? Apparently the overuse of this percentage in reviews has created confusion and questioning of whether this is true. The answer, which is as always cancer type dependent, may be in these references that also people claim they cannot find.
