Massachusetts did a similar thing, allowing autistic people to get special blue envelopes for their driver's licenses so that police wouldn't jump to conclusions and beat the shit out of them.

But the problem here is cops being violent, not a lack of awareness about people with disabilities.

I always love listening to neurotypical people talk about Thoreau and wistfully saying things like, "Only such a profound thinker as he was could see such things" and people on the spectrum just see an extremely autistic man living his extremely autistic life extremely autistically.

Our bullies & abusers love, love, love when we beat the sh*t out of ourselves in what we say & think. Of course they love it. They got us to do their dirty work for them in our own head.

It's a habit we gotta acknowledge & kick, no matter how familiar or "right" it feels.

Um... #RedSox Gray is done. Too bad we don't have a bullpen worth bringing in...

Hubs and I haven’t had a week-plus vacation that was just for us in nearly four years. We’ve had family visit us, we’ve visited family, and we’ve taken lots of extended weekend trips. So we’re heading to Hawai’i Thursday for eight days and I’m incredibly excited 🎉🌴🏖️

Oh man, this is totally the #RedSox 2026 season: great outing from our starter last night, more than 6 innings and a resounding win, and then our *ACE* comes on and completely poops his pants. 29 pitches in 2/3s of the first inning and a 4-0 lead for the Twins.

Okay… 10-0 Twins in the bottom of the 2nd… please take Crochet out of this game! #RedSox #RedSoxNation

Locals say seeing the iconic blue-and-yellow macaws in Rio’s Tijuca national park again is “a dream come true” — but it’s also part of a much larger project to restore the forest’s entire ecosystem.

Nat Turner's Rebellion, by Bernarda Bryson Shahn, showing a barefoot Nat Turner in lithotype pointing to a partial solar eclipse.

A solar eclipse on February 12, 1831 turned into a vision for Nat Turner, who saw it as a black man's hand overtaking the sun, reaching for freedom. Inspired by this holy vision, on August 21 of that year he launched a spiritually-inspired rebellion. #MythologyMonday

I like that angle from the dugout but I also like to be able to see the ball when it’s hit. They should incorporate that angle in more games, tho

Three Reasons You Should Avoid Going to Anti-Vaccine Autism Conferences Seems that the only folks who learned anything from the Autism One Conferences were those profiting on false hope.

Three Reasons You Should Avoid Anti-Vaccine Autism Conferences like Autism One—& not just because every last person involved is a grifter who is making life harder than it needs to be for autistic people and their families. @aboutpediatrics.bsky.social:

Same! And I’m sure that word is why I think cocoon and vacuum have two c’s in the middle 😜

How can someone become a lawyer and be terrible at catching typos?!

I know this is very judgy. I’m just mad at some lawyers right now & figure yelling into the void will help 🤷🏻‍♀️

One reason I wanted to be a lawyer (can you imagine?!) was my love of words, spelling, grammar. Typos make loopholes!!!
