We followed up the recent Westminster Hall Debate on a legal #DutyofCare with more lobbying as Douglas Cave and Jacquie Shanahan, together with representatives of @ollysfuture.bsky.social, had a fruitful discussion with @liztwistmp.bsky.social, chair of the Suicide & Self-Harm Prevention APPG.

On Jan 13, MPs discussed the merits of a legal #DutyofCare in UK Higher Education in a Westminster Hall debate attended by LEARN and our friends @forthe100.bsky.social. Most MPs were firmly in support - disappointingly the Government is still treading a weary old line on 'unintended consequences'.

We're new to the Blue & want to connect with people/organisations working to prevent future deaths by suicide in #HigherEducation, the #NHS and the #workplace. We currently have members on the UK government's HE mental health taskforce #HEMHIT & shaping the #BSI's BS 30480 Suicide Awareness standard
