The Dire Wolf is still EXTINCT! The genes of three Gray Wolf pups were edited to express certain traits that resemble the Dire Wolf, but they are in no way the same, and they are still considered Gray Wolves.
This was a quick project inspired by the misinformation spreading around.

Recommendations for breeds to draw are welcome! While I'm aiming to shed light on some more endangered breeds, I'd love to draw some popular ones as well!

Sketched my car this afternoon. I didn't quite finish because there were waves of spiders floating on their cobwebs through the air. 😅 Absolutely ran inside after seeing that.
Half Pebbles from Kingdom Come Deliverance, half random horse in an Art Nouveau mixed with Medieval style.
I call this one "Attitude." It was supposed to be Pebbles from Kingdom Come Deliverance and well... it's only Pebbles in the bridle and mane. 😅 And some of the border decoration is KCDII themed.

Ōkami in Kea form.
Kea in Ōkami form.
Kea [@heykea - Instagram] in Ōkami form! This one was done a few years back for a fun little sticker to exchange with friends. I accidentally misinterpreted them at first and thought they wanted a fully realistic piece, so they got both in the end! 😂
Thank you kindly! ♡
Thank you so much for all the kind words and the repost! ♥️
work in progress of a Renaissance-inspired horse with tedious line work.
A work in progress! The background grass has proved to be no easy feat, but it's going.
Haven't shared this pretty mare yet! While "paint" is commonly used to describe the bold coat patterns similar to what Doba has here, a paint horse is actually a breed and is short for "American Paint Horse." Unregistered horses with these coat patterns are actually called "pinto."

My horse, Utah. [ American Quarter Horse, gelding, cremello, sassy ]
Result from the Poorly Drawn Pets [ARLIOWA] fundraiser. Nuxy staring playfully upwards in a small field.
Art Fight piece. A grazing blue roan horse in a highly saturated field.
Results from a pet portrait raffle on Instagram [same username]. A cute kitty staring at a fallen star.
Thought I should do a short introduction post! I'm Cull, 23, and a pet portrait artist! Equines are a great passion of mine, as well as flute, plants, and a variety of other miscellaneous hobbies.
I'm new to the whole Bluesky thing, so I may be a little all over, but I'm excited for the adventure!
Landscape done, now lets get the birds in!

Two digital sketches on one page. Top: a big pterosaur, Infernodrakon, is stretching on the big fallen tree, that goes across the forest like a bridge. Wings are nicely folded together, one leg supports the body and another one is in the air, stretching. The tail is up and fluffy. Forest behind the pterosaur is colorful and you can see the sun coming through the trees. Bottom: just a silly Araripesuchus jumping around, it's captured with the eyes closed and mouth open, so the creature looks extra happy. Yippie!
Two digital sketches on one page. Top: Diprotodon standing on the shore, looking at the crescent moon. Thinking about its life and purpose, probably. Also, yes, i've had a "Man..." meme with a horse in my mind. You guessed it right. Bottom: a Thalattoarchon jumping out of the waves, the sun is shining through the clouds, sky golden, and the waves appear green. It's a little study of "The Ninth Wave" by Ivan Aivazovsky.
new #paleostream flocking, with Infernodrakon, Araripesuchus, Diprotodon and Thalattoarchon 🌠

Four black-and-white pencil sketches from tonight’s flocking-together Paleostream stream. In the top left is the long and thin neck bone of Infernodrakon in the jaws of a Didelphodon, facing directly at the viewer. In the top right is an Araripesuchus placing its hand on the snout of a much larger sleeping Ouranosaurus. In the bottom left is a Diprotodon walking at an angle to the viewer, with small but shaggy ears. In the bottom right is a tiny sketch of a very wiggly Thalattoarchon with mouth agape and fins spread out.

I did it! All four #paleostream flocking sketches! I also did a traditional sketch where I forgot I couldn't lasso tool and draw on separate layers.

An Art Fight piece I really, really loved doing last year for user: BonesSkullHeads! I have a soft spot for plague doctor characters.

My cremello gelding, Utah, lounging in a forest clearing.
Something a little older today. I had been wanting to do an illustration of my gelding, Utah, to print for myself. I finally finished it last year after 2 years of procrastination!

Nice day to sketch outside yesterday! Now it's rain, rain, and more rain for the next few days. 🥲

Just an Eryops taking a dip~
This started out as a sketch from the recent Paleostream flocking, and then I decided that I wanted to work on it some more! I took a little inspo from a catfish for the skin texture.

Just a Milotic drifting lazily through the river current~
I have circulated around to drawing water again, and I forgot how fun it can be!

Another DnD character today! Tsk Tsk the Kenku, in a rather gruesome fashion, carries on him a backpack made from an aarakocra's wings as a reminder of his dream to one day take to the skies.
Here's to hoping Tsk Tsk never meets the wing's previous owner's extended family.

A reference sheet of Gra'thok the Devourer, commission done for @zeitgaest [Instagram] last year. Loved how the armor turned out on this guy!

Flocking 2-21-25! A very dinosaur stream but a good one.
Eryops, Plateosaurus, Mahuidacursor, Koreaceratops
an Eryops floats at the surface of the water, the top of its flat face sticks above the waterline Eryops is a kind of temnospondyl, ancient amphibians that had scales but still relied on water to reproduce, it had a very flat face, but a very wide body
during dusk, a Plateosaurus is trapped in the dried remains of a swamp, the thick mud pulls it in deeper every time it tries to pull itself out. a warm light can be seen above it. a forest can be seen in the background against the dark and cold blue sky Plateosaurus is a kind of prosauropod, a bipedal ancestor of sauropods, it had large claws, a long neck, and thick legs
a Mahuidacursor looks to the left of the image, abstract patterns can be seen behind it Mahuidacursor is a type of elasmarian, mostly basal ornithischians that were bipedal. unlike its relatives, Mahuidacursor was huge probably standing at around 2m at the head. its only known from a few neck vertebra and part of its torso, but based on its relatives we know it probably had a proportionally long neck, long legs, thin arms, and a long tail
a Koreaceratops jumps into a mud pool, in its excitement it takes a poo Koreaceratops is a small ceratopsian that was related to basal off shoots like Protoceratops and Montanoceratops, like Protoceratops, its tail had a sort of sail that was potentially used for display
here's today's #Paleostream sketches!!!
today we sketched Eryops, Plateosaurus, Mahuidacursor, and Koreaceratops
