This is so wrong. An Australian billionaire wants to build a humongous toxic waste incinerator in Fiji that will require importation of massive amounts of Australian waste to function. And heâs trying to greenswash it as a ârenewable energy projectâ.
Letâs get some things straight.

The thumbnail from the Instagram Reel linked to in the post. It shows a still from the video, with Katherine smiling at the camera, with Balaclava station in the background. Text reads "Permanently free & frequent public transport".
Making free public transport permanent would cost a fraction of the price of the North East Link toll road.
We can have free and frequent PT - it's about political choices.

It's not just the turtles in trouble. The Gwydir Wetlands should be teeming with life right now, including with more than 100 different bird species such as the endangered Australian Painted Snipe, one of the rarest birds in Australia. There may be just a few hundred Painted Snipes left in the wild.
Taking from disabled people to give to people in aged care is a cynical political exercise from Labor.
Pitting people who genuinely need care against each other while leaving $17 billion in the pockets of gas corporations theyâre too cowardly to tax is shameful.

This is a big win for older Australians. Labor will ditch co-payments for in-home showering, dressing and continence care barely 6 months after they rolled them out.
Great to see Labor admitting their mistake but they shouldn't have been gouging older people in the first place.
