So I've chosen to use a topic-based dialogue system. Think Morrowind but less Wikipedia πŸ˜…
I think this system fits the game’s exploratory and immersive nature better than a branching system.

Working on dense outdoor vegetation, came up with these tree-like walls. Built from 3 cylinder meshes + bunch of leaf sprites.

Also dungeon entrance for adventure vibes βš”οΈπŸ˜ƒ

Thanks! Let me try:
My BookController takes BBCode text, renders it into a pooled SubViewport+RichTextLabel to measure height, splits it across procedurally built page meshes (using SurfaceTool+ViewportTexture), and animates page flips with tweens.

Spent way too much time on these interactive books πŸ™ˆ But now that they’re finally done, it feels so worth it!

A small step toward a playable demo, but a giant leap for immersion! πŸ€“πŸ“–

Already leveled up my Blender skills twice over the past weeks. (They were at rookie level 🀫)
Still learning about modular assets and linked data structures, which help a lot!

Ha! I didn't know about this isometric version but I indeed played Ultima 9 again for some inspiration. So great that my screenshots gave you similar vibes.
