So I've chosen to use a topic-based dialogue system. Think Morrowind but less Wikipedia π
I think this system fits the gameβs exploratory and immersive nature better than a branching system.

Tree-like walls build up to a forest pathway.
Tree-like walls build up to a forest pathway.
Classic cave-like dungeon entrance.
Working on dense outdoor vegetation, came up with these tree-like walls. Built from 3 cylinder meshes + bunch of leaf sprites.
Also dungeon entrance for adventure vibes βοΈπ

If you're using Godot I can highly recommend this video. Showed me everything I needed to know in the first 5 mins or so!

Yes, that's how I did it π
I was worried that implementing IK for better hit feedback would take a lot of time.
Turns out that, thanks to Godot 4.6, itβs surprisingly easy! π

Thanks! Let me try:
My BookController takes BBCode text, renders it into a pooled SubViewport+RichTextLabel to measure height, splits it across procedurally built page meshes (using SurfaceTool+ViewportTexture), and animates page flips with tweens.
Also sounds!
Spent way too much time on these interactive books π But now that theyβre finally done, it feels so worth it!
A small step toward a playable demo, but a giant leap for immersion! π€π

Thanks so much for the kind words! Will try my best! βΊοΈ
Already leveled up my Blender skills twice over the past weeks. (They were at rookie level π€«)
Still learning about modular assets and linked data structures, which help a lot!

When you add destructible objects but forget to disable their hitbox at the endπ

The ground texture appears rough and detailed, with visible paper creases and color variations.
The ground texture is smoother and more uniform, with fewer visible creases and a brighter, clean tone.
Please share which type of ground texture you would prefer for a papercraft aesthetic.
"left" (rough, more detailed) or "right" (smooth, cleaner)
