Bad news: ÖBB has amended its contract with Siemens Mobility for the delivery of new passenger coaches. This means that no further Nightjet trains will be ordered (for the time being) – 33 seven-coach units were planned, 24 of which have been delivered to date.

📅 On 07/05, EU 🇪🇺Commission finally published its Guidelines on Track Access Charges. We urged recognition of #nighttrains as own segment.
✅ While regulatory change is still needed, the Guidelines now promote this and
✅ recommends to only charge direct cost for night trains.

There is no confirmation, that there is none. The Koper branch was already missing in last years map, we missed to rectify that. Sorry for that, it's just volunteer work. We will update the online version.
One of the trains to which the through coach was attached was replaced by a self-propelled EMU (electric multiple unit). Without loco and coupling this connection wasn't technically feasible any more.

6 routes disappeared 😢 : Berlin-Bruxelles, Bratislava-Zvolen-Košice, Budapest-Cluj, Göteborg-Umeå, Stuttgart-Rijeka and Zürich-Linz-Praha. 1 new route (Praha-Gdynia) wasn't known in time to make it on the map.

Since mid-April the Baltic Express between the 🇨🇿 Czech capitol Praha and the 🇵🇱 Baltic Sea port of Gdynia will carry a sleeper coach!

According to the press release the train will offer 660 couchettes berths and feature a "wagon bar" (which some media translated as a restaurant car). Booking the train will however only be possible within a travel package. 3/4
The service will be run as Travelski Night Express in Cooperation with Pegasus Rail. Travelski is a brand of the establieshed travel operator Travel Factory who belong since 2018 to Compagnie des Alpes who run a couple of the connected resorts. Their partner Pegasus Rail was founded in 2024. 2/4
