A Bob-inspired baseball ballad:
Enjoying the new #RitesandTrials anthology from @thebrokenspine.co.uk and I’m chuffed to have a lil piece here from my wayward youth. So many great writers here!.
Two fictional characters from different universes you want to see fight
High praise in native vernacular, Philippa. I really enjoyed this piece.
How dare you after all I’ve done [gestures broadly at everything]

This week’s Friday Video featured U2’s Stay (Faraway, So Close!), a recording heavily influenced by the song stylings of Frank Sinatra.
And if you look, you look through me
And when you talk, you talk at me
And when I touch you, you don't feel a thing

Photo of a poem I wrote. It was a timed exercise set for me by a MH support worker. Text: 5 mins #3 Sad songs. Sad little bird. I held open my hand and you folded like fingers. I’m still sore about it. Thinking about that time you said “forever forget” and it meant nothing, but fell like a tree inside me. I wonder if it is ever winter where you are. Like, does it ever snow? Is it a forest, and are you there, with red breasted robins all along your arm, like a postcard? Or are all your trees blossomed and pink, like the best of all possible springs?
So good.
Many thanks to Kellie and the folks at @rfpress.bsky.social. In honor of this issue, am posting a pic of the ‘94 Beretta that got me through college. Sweet ride, though the floorboard would get waterlogged every time it rained. ☔️
Bonjour.
The shortest month of the year deserves the smallest and mightiest issue of the year. Tell your local short king.

For those who observe, from a wintry corner of Virginia:
All on that charming coast is no bitter snow and frost,
Like the lands of Virginia-ginia, O;
There streams for ever flow, and there flowers for ever blow,
And alas! I am weary, weary O!

#Paintku Tuesdays Week 3
Today’s pick: Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette (Pierre-Auguste Renoir, 1876)
I fell in love with the painting the first time I saw it, back in high school.

of dancing couples
