Looks like this:

Yeah, I'm using a different method. Set all colors of the level's palette to black and put tile priority on all tiles. This way, the circle of light, which is part of the player sprite, is only visible in places that use the palette's first color.

I think the QR code generation would be a really cool feature for a game that lets you train monsters / an RPG character / something like that. With the QR code, you could load your character into a companion app for online multiplayer.

That's indeed a great idea. I've done the same but I prefer to get games with a transparent case so that I can see which chip is inside before I buy.

Just keep in mind that those cheap cartridges usually don't run at the correct voltage. So, if you're unlucky, you might in lose your save.

I have a copy myself (and the original). But why 5? 😅

Still need to play through it. Was curious about it ever since I read a short article about it in a gaming magazine as a child, but only played for a couple of minutes so far.

This is an absolute gem of a game! It has tons of shorter levels that are really fun. The controls are fantastic, there's a ton of variety to the worlds, unique gameplay moments, plenty of secrets, and great humor too! A really wonderful platformer that easily stands alongside the best on the GBC.

Any chance you will add a save feature in the future? Not being able to stop and resume at a later time was my main gripe about the original release.

Been sitting on this little story trailer for ages. But the game kept selling out again and again. And it wouldn’t have made much sense to promote a game that is not readily available 😅
