Denzel Curry's album, KING OF THE MISCHIEVOUS SOUTH, which was the reference used for my pixel art illustration. Denzel is sitting wide with his hands balled into fists as he looks down at you. Behind him, several faces and body parts are present, though smeared and blurred. The text at the bottom is the standard disclaimer: "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content"

After the mall, Veve decides to skate down to the subway, but of course she's not safe even there.

Here, you can drop from the main platform onto the train tracks to dodge the cops, but you'll have to watch out to not crash into the trains there!

New MOXIE crew. Regina had to be cut for multiple reasons, the biggest being I couldn't fit her in the story, and her name is also too similar to the antagonist lmaoo

Once I finish the final 2 areas, you'll get to know about the final 2 members!

Since the player's goal is to avoid conflict rather than initiate it, I discovered during play testing that a way more efficient alien tracker is needed.

2nd level of the mall (empty for now)! Focusses a lot on bouncing on these overhangs! Once you make it to the exit, it leads to the rooftops where you will meet the overarching villain!

I've recently begun alpha testing SATTERM!

It's honestly been great so far; I've found things where I was like "this thing needs to be a feature", one of which is viewing mission flags!

Someone said to remove the pausing when you tag, cuz it could ruin the flow of the game, but I personally like it as some fake ass impact frames. Does anyone have any suggestions or their opinions from the previews so far 🥺?

Updated the mall a bit, and can now grind on the escalators. For this level, the goal is to tag all the spots (I missed one oops)

There will be NPCs trying to stop you too of course, I just haven't made them yet, but they'll be some Bear Mall Cops

A reimagining of the original 1986 NES game, Metroid: Zero Mission takes the bare-bones structure of the first Metroid and rebuilds it with the kind of polish, pacing, and visual flair only the GBA could offer. Crucially, Zero Mission respects your time. It gently nudges you in the right direction with subtle environmental cues and clever map design, but it never holds your hand. Every power-up—from the Morph Ball to the Varia Suit—unlocks meaningful new possibilities. This is Metroidvania design at its cleanest and most intuitive.

Very early wip of next area, the mall. Will focus more on verticality, despite only having 3 levels. Will be improved upon as time passes, but won't be in the demo.

Got a lot of help from epicshaner with this who isn't on this site.

This is where you meet Izumi, the first new member of the crew. She's impressed by your skills!

Why use a real-time clock (RTC) in a Game Boy game?
- Resource replenishment over real time deters binge play and beat-then-refund
- Cosmetic changes for time of day or holidays
- Spaced repetition in language learning games
- For non-game applications such as a personal organizer

Why avoid RTC […]

It's called "Meet Your Deerest"

First time I custom-order a PCB. and it works! This design only can access 32KB data, with no capacitor protection. Very barebone, but a good start for me, as I had zero knowledge about it.
