The previously issued shelter in place order has been rescinded.
The most likely culprit for this hazmat incident would be chlorine gas. Sodium hypochlorite and muriatic acid are two water treatment chemicals that when accidentally combined can produce chlorine gas. Chlorine gas reacts with water in your lungs and eyes to create hydrochloric acid.
A shelter in place order was just issued for the area of Crystal Pool in North Park, Victoria BC, due to an ongoing hazardous materials incident.
🌊 Tsunami Preparedness Week is coming up - April 12 to 18. 🌊
To share knowledge about tsunami risk and to provide an opportunity to practice your local evacuation route to higher ground ‘High Ground Hikes’ are being held in many coastal communities. 🏃♀️➡️

Its a response that demonstrates and awareness of the fact that you are playing a game in the first place.

It's the first day of the month, which means we get a new 4-month forecast from NIFC. June is looking like we all feared, with lots of red in the SW coupled with big swaths in the PNW and NorCal, which typically don't get real active until mid-late July. 1/
Springtime! Keep up the good work!
yo they can't dig GRAVES in New Orleans
Nothing prepares you for the pure wonder that is reading a true tale to your kids. Weaving a world around them with nothing but words might be the closest thing to magic there is.

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy.
Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.
Did you know there's a policy for a statewide ban on utility shutoffs in AZ? But that each year the utilities get to choose whether it's a seasonal ban or a temperature based one, so no one who needs it actually knows what the policy is? And the utilities aren't liable for deaths outside the policy?
"Books"
"What books?"
"...there were no books."

Your local grocery store needs YOUR help to accurately label their Israeli produce.
One question I think alot of people have, is will schools begin offering seasonally adjusted schedules, or will we be sending the kids off to school in the dark next winter?
Ooo! If you jump off the track at JUST the right spot there's a huge shortcut.
Mass casually incident! Active shooter at Tumbler Ridge Secondary school leaves 7 dead plus the shooter. 20+ additional wounded. rcmp.ca/en/bc/tumble...
1/2 The RCMP have ended the emergency alert in Tumbler Ridge. Police do not believe there are any outstanding suspects or ongoing threat to the public.
Today’s devastating events are sending shockwaves through the community and the entire province.
Our hearts are in Tumbler Ridge tonight with the families of those who have lost loved ones.
Government will ensure every possible support for community members in the coming days, as we all try to come to terms with this unimaginable tragedy.
Yesterday, we got the assurance we came to Ottawa for - the federal government committed to partnering with us on flood mitigation for the Sumas Prairie.
We look forward to the critical work ahead to protect communities, infrastructure, food security, the economy and supply chains.
The 1848 vibes are immaculate.
In 2025, Minneapolis reported a total of 64 homicides, or 1.25 per week.
In the first month of 2026, federal agents have been responsible for 2/3rds of all homicides in the city so far this year.
This is some sort of sick joke.
These are the people who always win the end but they also always loose so much more along the way. I guess that's the price you pay for having something to live for.
I didn't think there was room for this but I am more horrified for the US than I was last week. A federal agent firing 10 rounds into a legal observer while 6 others had him completely restrained on the ground. This can't be normal. Don't allow it to become normal. The world beg is begging you.
ICE detain yet another minor child—chase him down his own street and tackle him to pavement.
"I am legal! I am legal!" he cries over and over in Spanish.
Agent pins the boy down in snow—he desperately tries to keep his exposed hands from freezing at -25°F wind chill temperature.
