Earlier this week, took a little bit of a road trip as a bit of a R&R. One of my most favourite and beautiful places in BC is Hope and I always like spending a little time down on the banks of the Coquihalla River

Large and very hairy bee on a purple flower with dark tail section, reddish-orange rump, yellow mid-section and yellowish-grey head and upper thorax

First gorgeous #BumbleBee of the season for me and a definite mood lifter! I think this one is an orange-rumped bumble bee (Bombus melanopygus) which is native to western North America. It is foraging on a garden pansy at the local garden store. #HopeBC #SignsOfSpring #BugSky 🌿

A paved street leads toward a view of mountains. A huge mountain covered with evergreen trees is on the nearby horizon to the left. In the distance is a rocky crag with two peaks that has snow on top and to the right another peak with a light dusting of snow. Along the street are tall evergreens, a few leafless deciduous trees and some houses tucked away between the trees. Sun is shining on green grassy and mossy lawns in the lower right.
