It's shocking that Starmer's Labour endorsed this horrific policy, and sacked MPs that voted against it. We will never forget, and hope Starmer's authoritarian reign is over and will be replaced by a government that genuinely wants to lift children out of poverty and tackle inequality.

According to Merriam-Webster:
woke
(adjective)
aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)

As far as I'm concerned, the 'woker,' the better.

I’m very saddened to hear about Thomas Hylland Eriksen’s passing today. There is much to say about his work, but tonight I am mainly thinking about what a warm and inspiring person he was, a generous and constantly curious thinker of a rare kind. He really will be deeply missed.
