But I also think it's really important to remember why we need to give, and acknowledge that ordinary people are filling a huge gap left by the State, and now, during a cost living crisis. And to remind our politicians of that.

It shouldn't even be about providing "enough" for those who have too little.

So sure, have volunteers come in and teach crafts to people in long-term wards, or to read papers to people or befriend them. But any actual care services must only be done by people trained in care, who are being paid appropriately.
Disabled people want #RightsNotCharity.
