Voted! In and out of my new polling station in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Thank you to the polling staff as always!

If you haven't voted yet, a reminder that I am suggesting people vote Yes to the family amendment and asking you to vote NO to the Care amendment #VoteYesNo

It's referendum day! Please consider voting Yes on family and No on care so that we don't replace sexist constitutional language with ableist. #VoteYesNo

My first vote as an Irish citizen and I find myself voting to keep the “women in the home” line in the Constitution 🙄 astonishing what a pig’s ear the government have made of this

It's an absolute mess. I'm tending towards #VoteYesNo but I'm still disgruntled.

A square box split in two along the horizontal, white on top and pale green on the bottom, with the word ‘Yes’ placed large, in dark green, in the centre of the white area and the word ‘No’ in the green area, indicating how I’ll be marking the ballots in the referendum on the changes to the Irish constitution.

I'm voting "Yes" on the white ballot on Friday because our perception of what a family is has become much more open.

I’m voting "No" on the green ballot to reject the amendment on care. It’s a failure of the state to accept its responsibilities to those who need care. #VoteYesNo

A passionate and articulate explanation for why changing the reference to care in the constitution will not improve conditions for those who need care, or those who provide it, and worse, it could enable the state to evade its existing responsibilities.

Opinion: The care referendum is problematic, paternalistic and downright irresponsible Dr Orla Tinsley on why she will be voting No in the care referendum on Friday.

Opinion: Mainstream feminists are backing the 'care amendment' - this is a mistake Dr Rosaleen McDonagh says the mainstream women’s movement is unwittingly reinforcing patriarchal norms by supporting the vote on 8 March.

So please take a moment to read these statements from some of the many people and groups who initially campaigned for #VoteYesYes and after listening to many disabled people and carers, will be choosing #VoteYesNo

As promised, more #CareRef links from people asking you to #VoteYesNo on Friday.

Why are so many disabled people and carers saying the proposed 42b amendment is dangerous, but we aren't as worried about the old wording about women doing harm?

#VoteYesNo is being pushed by disabled people like me, and carers. We are suggesting Irish citizens vote Yes to the family amendment (white ballot) but we are asking you to vote No with us to the 42B amendment (green ballot).

I am not seeing much referendum chatter outside of Twitter, so over the next few days I'm going to pull together a list of articles and posts by members of the #VoteYesNo campaign.

Ellen Coyne: Yes campaign steps up momentum as rights groups and disability activists distance themselves from Constitution change On Saturday, the Yes-Yes campaign will have to put their game face on. After this weekend, there will be less than two weeks to go to the two referendums on March 8.

I'm a fair recently disabled person, so when it comes to matters which effect the rights of disabled people, I am going to listen to the activists who I connected with during repeal.

The vast majority of those are calling for a #VoteYesNo in the #Referendum2024

In relation to the upcoming referendum on the care amendment, it seems that many carers and people with disabilities are being ignored.

We would encourage people to search the hashtag #voteyesno to hear some of these voices.
