ironically, i only know of 999 from 2 other people explaining why they know what prosopagnosia is lmao. Still very excited, it's always interesting to me how non-faceblind people try to conceptualize it. The emphasis on hair silhouette is very accurate :]

I'm curious, are you faceblind? No problem if not! It's just so unknown outside of people directly impacted by it (if they even have a name for it) that I have to ask
i <3 awful protagonists. honestly, i might love morally grey and awful characters more because they're often more interesting, despite any heavy-handedness. Also, imo, the fact it's from the faceblind person's perspective already humanizes the experience. It forces the player to live it too
A screenshot of a sniper scope view of a sidewalk, targeting a person in silhouette with distorted eyes. The main character is superimposed in the corner in white, depicted sitting while holding his rifle.
a screenshot of a laptop screen, depicting a browser called "anion" with a grungy aesthetic.
haven't formally announced it yet cause i wanna get further along, but i'm working on a deduction game where you play a faceblind sniper, cross referencing information between the internet and your scope view to deduce who your target is
more NPC variants. screenshot stuesday i guess.

holy FUCK faceblindness? in the wild?
I was curious about your game anyway, but this made me the #1 fan IMMEDIATELY. A few years ago, I was considering a faceblind investigative journalist concept bc that's something I wanted to explore. so like. i'm so insanely excited about this, its unreal
REALLY thats honestly a tragedy. lost media from the era when ava's demon shitposts were common.. i dont think i ever did shitpost art, but my first ever "i made it" moment was seeing my ava's demon art reuploaded on pinterest
Ive been on the ava's demon ride since about 2014, I watched the asexual gil discourse in real time ๐ and tyty

A colored and partially rendered illustration of a pinecone pig item from Fear and Hunger. It is a pinecone with 4 small sticks attached, like legs. To the left of the illustration is a photo reference of someone holding a pinecone. Beneath that is a small, pixelated sprite of the pinecone pig item from the fear and hunger game.

Partially rendered full-body illustration of Abella from Fear and Hunger: Termina crouched down. She has pale skin, long red hair in a braid, a long-sleeve desaturated yellow work short, denim overalls, and brown work boots. She has one hand under her jaw and the over resting over her knee. The denim overalls were painted with a brush with denim patterning and the shirt was painted with a brush with canvas texturing.

A bust-up uncolored rough sketch of Marina engraving Olivia's face. Marina's back is to the camera, with only her pigtails and hands visible. She holds Olivia's chin up with one hand and is preparing to continue engraving into her left cheek with the other. Olivia has short, chin-length hair, glasses, and cross markings engraved into her right cheek and forehead. She's smiling, though a little nervous, and looking up at Marina.
A bust-up uncolored rough sketch of Marina engraving Samarie's face. Marina has curly hair with bangs and pigtails. Marina is in profile view, slightly elevated above Samarie as she prepares to engrave a circle around her eye. Her other hand holds Samarie's chin up with one finger while her other arm rests on Samarie's head. Samarie has straight hair past her shoulders and short bangs. Samarie has her head tilted up and is sweating nervously at Marina's touch. Her eyebrows are furrowed and she looks very tense in a flustered, anxious way.

drawing sapphic eroticism and getting my friends' input is always really funny. time find out what the horny advisors and asexual philosophers think about this one
two sketches of a short-haired woman with unevent, heavily side-parted hair. she wears large, round sunglasses and jeans in both sketches. visibly, she only has the left breast, with the right being mostly flat. it looks like a unilateral masectomy that wasn't completely flattened. she has more fat on her left side, with a post-partum pouch, hip dip, wider thigh, and stretch marks on her left side as well. the right side is more rectangular and doesn't fold onto itself. canonically, this is a clay side. in the first sketch, jove is laying with her torso on a chain and her lower body handing off of it in a lounging sort of way. the perspective is slightly above the ground, front-on. showing her in a 3/4ths view with her arms sprawled over the chair's backing and side. one knee is bent with both feet on the ground. the stomach and hips fold with the perspective, and the left arm visibly has hanging fat and stretch marks on the upper arm. she has a relaxed but cocky side smile with laugh lines. the second sketch is a thigh-up sketch of her sitting down, cigarette between teeth. she also has a half-smile and laugh lines here, but it's more amused. you can see both rows of teeth in her holding the cigarette. she's wearing a long-sleeve leather jacket with the front open, showing her torso. she leans on her left arm, with her entire upper body leaning that way. her right hand is pulled up and summons a small flame, preparing to light the cigarette. there's a fold on her left side where she's leaning over on her flesh side, and there's visibly more folding on her jeans on her left side as well.

which is a really long winded way of saying i imagine the occultist's physical toll flirts closer to death (dehydration) than actual corruption, and that guy perpetually needs to drink more water
at a glance (im not an expert in the lore lmao), becoming changed seems to be a thematic result of losing something important/"innate" (see how the siren was originally just a woman). the heroes are our heroes because that haven't lost it yet, despite everything
of course, theres the other end of the "changed physically from magic" spectrum, which is "you progressively become aquatic too." still delicious imo, but i think the entities in dd are more hungry than that; creatures and landscapes have been physically altered, but it wasn't necessarily *given*
thinking about the implications of ocean-based eldritch horrors. i wonder if the occultist would be dehydrated? im a big fan of physical tolls from magic and i imagine that summoning can require accommodating.. whatever it is you summon, which would be water in this case
5 uncolored rough sketches of a woman (looking) person named Jove. In all of them, she is short, uneven hair, dark, round glasses, and a tie. She has a side-smirk and facial wrinkles. There is a sixth sketch, unfinished and without features. The first sketch is drawn on a phone without pressure sensitivity. Jove looks tangled in rope with her glasses slightly ajar, showing her left eye. The second sketch is another rendition of this, with the arms closer to her torso. The third is another rendition, though the tangling is more eroticized. Her arms are pressed against her back, and the rope ends around her hands with a ring at the end. She leans forward and looks over at the viewer. She has her side smirk with the glasses slightly ajar. The tie leans down with her, not underneath the rope. The fourth sketch is a portrait of jove, with one hand on her face. Her fingers are spread across her left cheek, and the glimmer of her wedding ring reflects in the center of her glasses. There are labyrinth markings on that lens, with a labyrinth symbol to her side that was referenced. The fifth sketch is a portrait of jove. The rope has been tied into a noose shape, and a wedding ring is tied to part of it. It is not pulled, but jove has the rope in her hand in an examining way. Her expression is hard to describe, something between unphased and morbidly amused. The rope is implied to lead somewhere, or at least have a source.
a portrait sketch of the occultist from darkest dungeon next to a search history screenshot. theyre all the original poster's, abyssalaquarist's, tumblr blog searching for occultist art. the top search is an imgur link that reads "DD references masterpost."
tbh i was sketching him last night and looking at your work alongside the official art. your occultist is canon, to me
A procreate page filled with bust sketches of my OC, Greta.
I'm about to create a woman that is just SO mannish and nasty.

7 sketches of a woman. The top 3 are the same sketch-colored-alt version of a woman with jaw-lengthed choppy, ruffled hair. She has a side-smoke showing teeth, laugh lines, crows feet, and a forehead wrinkle. Her hair is a dark black/brown with grey strands. The left side of her face is emoting and has a hazel eye; the right side is greyish with a clay-like texture, no eyebrow, and a dark eye. In the alt, she has dark circular sunglasses that hide her eyes. There are two uncolored portrait sketches of her with glasses. There is another uncolored portrait sketch, three-fourths from the right side, which shows that the right side of her head has visibly thinning hair compared to the left side. In the other sketches, she has her hair parted down the right side, so the thinning is usually covered. She doesn't have an eyebrow or facial wrinkles on the right side, and her right eye has a different shape than the left one. The left one is hooded. The last sketch is from the thigh-up and uncolored. She wears glasses and her side-smirk with teeth and gums. This shows an outfit concept, which is a leather butcher-like apron over short and pants. Over that, she has an open trench coat.
Three rough sketches of jove interacting with party members. The first is jove standing next to a taller figure, where she comes to about their shoulder. They have a mask, hat, and cloak visibly inspired by dark souls 3. Jove is in her trench coat and glasses with her side-smirk with teeth. She stands to their left. holding their wrist up in one hand and an her index finger up in the other. She seems to be explaining something to them. The second is of jove standing infront of a young woman. She wears her glasses, leather apron, and has a side smirk with teeth. She opens her trench coat and motions to it, where there is an assortment of vials and other unspecified trinkets inlayed. The young woman is slightly taller than jove with back-length slightly curly hair. Her hands are knit together behind her back and she taps one toe on the ground, like she is watching jove in amusement. The third sketch is of jove hugging together the other two party members. She has her glasses, with swirls in them, and a visible laugh line on the left side of her face as she smiles/talks. She leans forward between them with one arm around each. The young woman is to her right, looking a little confused but humoring her. She has sharp teeth in a nervous smile and long eyelashes. The hunter is to her left, with shadow over half their face to indicate an intimidating aura. Jove herself leans forward in a low-neck shirt, visibly having only the left breast, and has a cross necklace on. Specifically, this is a reference to the 24 gold karat labubu woman, though the associated joke text is omitted from the sketch.
Three uncolored rough sketches of jove, a woman with roughly cut jaw-length hair. The first is a downward shot of jove sitting down and smoking. She is braless with an open button-up shirt, showing the left breast and flat-denial type markings on the right side. Flat denial is when those seeking flatness after a mastectomy are ignored, and uneven skin/flat is left in its place. In jove's case, it is stylized after clay scoring, as her right side is a clay golem. She wears womens underwear and props her left leg up, with pubic and leg hair on her left (flesh) side. She has a lighter in one hand and a smoking machine in the other. There is an arrow pointing to it that says "awful multi-cigarette smoker from a youtube video." The next sketch is a fullbody of jove, nude save for her glasses. She has one foot outward like she's about to step forward and is pushing her hair back with her full hand. She has strict marks on her breast, underarm, stomach, waist, and thighs. She was intended to have more stretched fat around her stomach from childbirth, but it isn't particularly well done here. The third sketch is jove from the abdomen up. She's nude except for her glasses, and has her right arm pulled upward with the hand behind her head. She has no underarm hair on that side, as its clay, and the uneven chest is more visible. The lowerside of the breast attached to the armpit has some mass, but isn't complete; there's a major indent across the middle of the breast and smaller scores moving parallel to it.
Three sketches and one rendered painting of jove, a woman with roughly cut jaw-length hair. The first sketch is jove from the front, who is sitting down with one leg crossed over the other. She wears her glasses and shows teeth with a side smile, laugh line on her left side. In her right hand she holds a lit cigar. Her hand is pushed up against the side of her head, and one hair is starting to smolder. She wears an open button-down shirt, showing a unilateral bra. The flat side has holders for vials/containers sewn onto it. She wears long pants and has visible stomach creases where the fat is overlapping/pushing onto itself. The second sketch is a colored bust-up sketch of jove smoking. She wears her glasses, a buttoned-up shirt, and her trench coat. She has medium-light skin on her left side and a clay-like grey on her right. Her hair is dark with greying strands. She has the flame in her flesh hand and holds a clay finger over it. It is visibly melting and smoking. She doesn't seem distressed, potentially doing this out of boredom or impulse. The third sketch is a nude study from the back of jove to show her asymmetrical physique. Her left arm raised so her hand is holding up her classes. She has hanging fat from her left (flesh) arm, a slightly sagging breast, and a pear-shaped figure on her left side with hip dips. The right side is more blocky and rectangular. To the side, a rendered version of this sketch is down. The left side is colored like flesh with freckles. There are stretch marks along her breast, underarm, waist, thighs, and buttocks. The right side is rendered like clay, and scoring can be seen at the joints and sides. They are meant to resemble measurement scoring of an in-progress clay sculpture.
