I got an interesting question in my inbox: A freelance editor said they often work with writers who they think won't have a chance getting an agent w/ their query/manuscript. Should that freelance editor tell those writers so they don't waste the agent's time, and thus freeing up the query logjam?

Think of giving like your favorite food! When someone asks you to share, you give them some and eat the rest.

So in short it's some for them (your boss, loved one, your fans) and quickly give to you! It can be as simple as a nap. Or a treat. Maybe it's just to step away for 20 mins and breath in silence. But make it a habit to give something back to yourself that same day! Don't put it off.

In art & content, even in work, it's constantly giving. I found when I treat it like food, I feel better. If I post, instead of checking for likes, I quickly do something for myself. A habit for a parent is "I will give to me later". Well later never comes so make it a habit to give to u right away.

I took some time away from social media. I admit I am not doing well as I watch Terrye grow more frail and barely able to do even move.

I cook, clean and help bath her as the ravages of the chemotherapy take their toll.

Allow it to shatter like broken glass then collect it. Even beach glass has value. Allow your pain and do nothing. Reflect. Pause.
