DELC is facing an addtl budget cut of up to 5% in the 2026 session which would potentially impact other programs like Preschool Promise, OPK, Healthy Families, etc.

I know for me, Preschool Promise and Healthy Families were VITAL free programs for my children when I was leaving a DV relationship.

Flagging for parents and child care providers /biz owners who use ERDC (or child care subsidy)
DELC reported that the ERDC child care subsidy program has a budget deficit of $93 million to $111 million for the 12,000 current families it serves. The program is expected to run out of money in Jan 2027
