ππ» Hi Anne! π I was incredibly young for a first quarter π

Tower One still out of action and Tower Two was PACKED but still managed to embroil myself in some call changes, Grandsire and Stedman. After coffee I was honoured to be part of @tiedbell.bsky.social celebratory quarter - an achievement to have taught us all π bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=...
Different church, with an unlocked door into the bell tower. Walk in, close the door behind you, turns around - behold all the method numbers for the bell ringers. This took my breath away; Itβs not ancient, itβs not folk horror; if anything itβs a spell - itβs music on a wooden wall!
London skyline with St Paul's.
On a jolly.
North Elmham church tower.
Colourful sallys hanging from a rope spider.
A peal board and rope.
Boards and signage.
Venue for part of today's fun π:
A continuity announcer: "Well, I think you'll agree with me that was a lot better than being dead, at any rate."
Just lost my first attempt at a quarter of Stedman Cinques, but, importantly, IT WAS NOT MY FAULT. π π
Interesting footnote for a quarter. π Also, distracting π, but not as bad as π·, which for me would definitely result in loss of quarter.
A Cadbury mini eggs Easter egg.
AGM tonight - prize for best attendance at the scary tower.π Apparently sitting on the bench counts. π
I should have hung around longer.

Beginning of Palm Sunday procession.
But where's the π«?!
Anglia Square demolition. Multi storey in the final stages of coming down (rumour has it, itβs gone in the last two hours since I took this at 12.26) the photo looks from the old Norse road of Cowgate across the Saxon byway of Magdalen street (itβs probably pre-Roman tbh, but whatevs) at the skeleton of the last part of a concrete car park. People cross the road, a man is caught in a sliver of light thrown between two buildings.
Nipped out to get some bread. Took a photo or two. Isnβt seeing magic.
And we were just this morning reminiscing about rearranging the furniture in Costa. (Now we rearrange it elsewhere.)
Thank you.
A shiny spiced currant bun.
Cold cross bun.
A fade pink carpet with 6 numbered mats of a darker faded pink colour.
Some ringing room carpet and mats for you this fine Saturday.
Always a joy!
Looking down into the interior of Great Yarmouth minster. There is an orange glow where people are gathered to eat bacon rolls.
About to ring in my first 12-bell striking competition π.
* I had to beg to be in a team.
** We're going to be placed last. π

Possibly, but good luck getting that information out of them.
AIRES: No matter how many times you obsessively proofread it, a badly placed typo will mean everyone just laughs hysterically and ignores your serious pubic service announcement.
Wondering how to amuse the children or oneself?
Norwich Science Festival offers a vast array of topic activities for every age.

Our Dave is 90 years young today so we had cake. And we attempted to ring 90th Birthday Treble Place Minor. We did ring a 90 change touch of G5 and lots of rounds in between cake breaks. We finished with a course of Stedman 7 thanks to a visitor. Happy Birthday Dave #bellringing
Jointly conducted Qs are fun!
And some conducting duties π.
The video clip is from the peal, a stately sounding set of bells. You should be able to hear the 6 louder then 6 muffled notes, creating a call and response effect that is quite haunting.
Let me get this straight, we don't even let the locals who volunteer to play, but will fly someone over?
I mean, on that basis, why employ our own nazis when we can share with australia? Get rid of the idiot trio and we could save well over 1m a year!

In other news, it was the Branch striking competition this afternoon (Iβm talking church bellringing). Let me tell you a little bit about what happened.
Hurray! ππ»π
Looks like they're being chased by a spider π±.
