Nice upland walk at Ogof Ffynnon Ddu with @welshnaturelady.bsky.social, Ring Ouzel, Wheatear everywhere, helped Susan rescue a waterlogged sheep and as no good deed goes unpunished, managed to fill my boots with water.

Dyfi Osprey Project resident female Telyn (3J) laid her first egg of the season today 14th April at 16:55, just 12 minutes before her mum Maya laid her 4th egg at Rutland. Resident male Idris returned shortly afterwards and duly took over incubation responsibilities.

Battle today at Loch Arkaig nest 2 between resident female Dorcha and male and female residents from Loch Arkaig nest 1, Garry (LV0) and Aurora (536). Male JJ4 was also in the mix, who has periodically been seen on nest 2 since yesterday. Plenty of dive bombing going on.

What to expect
Our last talk of the Autumn/Winter programme will be on Friday 10th April starting at 7:30pm at Gresford Trust Memorial Hall and it is called BIRDS IN WALES IN 2025 given by Julian Hughes. Julian works for the RSPB and is a member of The Welsh Ornithological Society so it should be a very interesting talk. We will have the usual refreshments and raffle and 50 club anyone who would like to hear this talk and is not a member of the club is welcome to join us for a Β£3 fee which helps towards the cost of the hall. Look forward to seeing you there.
