#Frog Found these 3 frogs in Como Lake Park, Coquitlam, BC Canada a couple of days ago. I did an online search and they could be invasive American Bullfrogs. They didn't move or make any sound.

Can anyone confirm?

Wasn't quick enough on the shutter button to capture the whole Greenshank in flight but got most of it. 😀 One of the largest of the Tringa genus, it's closely related to NA's Greater Yellowlegs. To me, the two species sound exactly the same. #BirdingHungary #shorebirds #waders #sandpipers

Speaking of cool breeding liveries, check out this male Ruff (Calidris pugnax). I nicknamed him Rusty. 😀👍 #BirdingHungary #waders #shorebirds #sandpipers #BirdsSeenIn2026

#PacificGreatBlueHeron pair at Rock Point Park, Port Moody, BC Canada. Turn on the sound for the squawk!!
A very low tide brought them to hunt for food. Lucky the gull got out of their way.

Two Canada geese stand on a grassy, wildflower-dotted shoreline overlooking a calm bay. One goose is captured in profile, while the other faces away toward the water, where several dark, weathered wooden pilings protrude from the surface. In the foreground, a few small, fuzzy goslings are nestled in the grass near the adults. The background reveals a rocky coastline with gentle ripples on the water under a bright, clear sky.

Two adult Canada geese, characterized by their iconic black necks and white cheek patches, flank a disciplined line of seven small, fuzzy yellow goslings. The adults stand alert, one on the left facing forward and the other on the right looking back toward the water, acting as protective bookends for their offspring.

Cuteness Alert: Since Bluesky was wonky yesterday we went to the beach and watched these Canada Geese lead their little ones down to the water. We made sure they all made it. Too cute! Also saw lots of pelicans! I’ll save the pics for later.

"A tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) perches lightly on a slender, lichen‑dusted branch, its tiny feet gripping the bark as if it weighs no more than a breath. The bird faces slightly to the right, its body angled just enough to show the soft curve of its pale belly and the smooth sweep of gray‑blue feathers along its back and wings.

Its signature crest rises like a small, wind‑ruffled flag atop its head, giving the bird an alert, almost curious expression. The titmouse’s dark, round eye gleams with a bead‑like shine, set above a neat black beak that looks sharp enough to crack a seed but delicate enough to whisper a note of song.

The background melts into a wash of soft green, blurred into a gentle haze that makes the bird appear even more crisp and close, as if it has paused for a moment just long enough for you to notice the fine texture of its feathers. The lighting is warm and natural, catching the subtle silver tones in its plumage and giving the whole scene a quiet, early‑morning calm.

The photograph feels intimate—quiet woods, a still branch, and a small bird holding the moment together with its simple presence." - Microsoft Copilot

I've not see one of these beauties in person for about 8 years. Then all of the sudden it showed up in my backyard a few days ago to eat carpenter ants! What a nice treat!
