Okay, well, perhaps ‘palaces’ is a slight exaggeration, but these rudbeckia was in the gardens of a castle - so reasonably close. Notwithstanding they are brightly coloured and eye catching.

What is it about bluebells? I just love them. It’s a sign that Spring is underway and it somehow cheers you up.

Not sure where I saw this knotted ‘rope’, but I just liked it as a sort of minimalist image.

Early evening on the West coast of Ireland and a large number of starlings - apparently known in Ireland as ‘druids’- gather on the power lines and chatter noisily, possibly exchanging information about food sources.

Riding this long waterfall in Alaska to experience a float experience down the rapids on the Mendenhall river on a “Yellow Banana,” was cramped and uncomfortable, but thrilling. It felt like surfing a 2 km waterfall.

The tide was out a very long way leaving this beach close exposed.
This beach is close to Doonbeg in County Clare on the West Coast of Ireland. Across the bay you may be able to see the remains of a castle on the harbouraide at Doonbeg.

On the edge of the Burren close to Fanor on Ireland’s west coast. There are plenty of rocks in the river here and it’s possible some are hundreds - if not thousands - of years old.

This replica of a Boing 314 flying boat is aptly named the ‘Yankee Clipper’. It’s a facsimile of a 1940s seaplane capable of crossing the Atlantic and it’s housed in the flying boat museum in Ireland.

On holiday and based in Funchal, Madeira in 2020. Took a trike tour around various photo worthy spots on the island travelling by trike. We were by no means ‘Hell’s Angels’, but this was an exciting way to get around.

This is a shot of the headland at the seaside town of Kilkee in County Clare, Ireland. There were blue skies and a strong onshore wind. This image was captured at high tide when the cliffs were taking a battering by the relentless breakers.
