I used to use the n-word slur for my people back when I was on Twitter. But I wouldn't use it here. Too many 'allies' on BlueSky want to police the language that black people are allowed to use. They have siloed us and prefer it if we stay inside certain comfortable boundaries.

I remember telling the judge bibles meant nothing to me, so he had me promise to be truthful.
They only tapped us for a month this time. And during that entire month we openly talked about his possible murder on that phone, to whomever whenever possible. I guess there was an FBI record of our family being troublemakers.
His parents were tiny immigrants who spoke poor English so they never asked for a second autopsy. We all knew he'd probably been murdered, because back then people of color who had misadventures in the armed forces were either murdered or raped, or raped and murdered.
Then a few years later there was a closed casket funeral for a high school friend of his who had been in the Army. They said he died in Germany trying to cross a rail line. This was a kid that had grown up in New York with us and had been around trains all his life.
Finally he and my mother had an unpleasant collision on the phone. He went there and brought up her immigrant status, so she tore him a new asshole. The government literally tapped our house phones for a full year after that incident.
I've only heard physical taps twice in my life. Both times it was the US government. Right after high school my younger brother tried to join the Army. My mother talked him into going to college, which he did. But the Army recruiter would not let it go.
I haven't heard clicks on a phone line since physical taps were a thing back in the eighties and early nineties.
