Also hadn't realized it was a Nobel prizewinning series!
Finished watching season 1 of the forsytes saga on PBS (I remembered enjoying the 2002 version) and have just read the author and his wife's wikipedia entries and PHEW! the drama of their real lives! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ga...
Instagram has been increasingly showing me perfume ads (after I shared one that was unintentionally hilarious to a friend). I do not buy or wear perfume due to allergies, so I won't get tricked into buying garbage. i feel like i should click on those more often.

Monochrome pixel art image of an interplanetary map of the planet Alterra, which has a system of rings from a moon that hasn’t been formed yet. Various locations and travel routes are labeled
«MAP SCREEN» This is a repost from March 2025 when I started world-building for my comic/graphic novel #pixel_dailies #pixelart #ピクセルアート #scifiart #maps #wip @pixeldailies.bsky.social
Two oozing shadowy figures hide behind geometric barricades of red bars. The background is filled with purple and blue static and odd bursts of red lightning.
Two lanky figures wearing plague doctor masks stand looming over a blorby little pumpkin person. The pumpkin is so happy to have company, despite the dark presence of the figures.
A cute little chibi clown jester with tiny black eyes like a doll.
A zelda-like mockup of an adventure game. The protagonist is a small pumpkin girl in overalls and she is fending off three slime enemies!!
Happy #portfolioday to everyone, especially you!!💖

120x120 pixel art using 64 colors from my kiwisuper6 palette and the aap-radiantplus palette! shown is a giant pale hand in space cracking an egg over a watery planet with clouds and green land! from the egg is a meteor yolk with a mysterious bird form within! there are many stars in the visible cosmos of various colors and shapes, and there is a ufo, a few distant galaxies, a black hole, and a quasar!
250x180 1bit pixel art using my kiwi1bit palette! shown are my interface elements, a text box that reads “don’t worry, sister… the next chance we get… i’ll take care of them…” with a portrait above of a girl facing left holding a knife in her right hand and a nameplate above that says “mirror girl”! the main composition is a girl leaning against a mirror looking sad with her hand against it, as her reflection with a much darker visage holds a knife!
160x80 pixel art of two vampire sisters facing away, one in the foreground who is playing the flute and the other more distant who holds her arms up to the sky as red lightning strikes in the distance
pixel art in 6 colors, my kiwisuper6 palette, a self portrait of me holding my eggplant friend! i am grinning and have a curl of hair coming over my shoulder!

Today is the one year anniversary of when I decided to try to learn how to do pixel art! I'm really excited that I've stuck with it for an entire year, so I'm celebrating today and rambling in the replies a bit
Please enjoy this isometric scene I got way too into! 💙

I want to do more comedy writing in 2026 and I’d love to write late night stuff someday. If you hear of any writing submission opportunities in that area please let me know! Email is on my website amyash.me, or DM here.

Boston seems to have skipped spring? why is it hot today?
A rectangle colour linocut. The dominant colour is yellow, which is used for the platform & walls & ceiling of an underground train station, lit as they are by electric light. Shadows in the form of triangles of green reappear across the picture. The platform curves from far left to a dark tunnel two thirds of the way towards the picture’s right hand edge. At the platform is a curving red train. At its head is a worker on the platform signalling to it. The train is full of silhouettes of passengers. The platform is empty of them.
The Tube Station, linocut, by Cyril Power, c.1932.
WNDB changed the industry but we need diverse books now more than ever, kids especially.
What you may not know about me is that I volunteered for WNDB for several years in the late '10s when they first started. I was a social media manager, a volunteer for the first Walter Awards ceremony, and a lead for the WNDB in the Classroom getting books to schools 💜 (not all at the same time 😆)
Happy #WeNeedDiverseBooksDay! This is a great action to take today in addition to supporting diverse authors. #WNDBDay2026
NEW—I got an exclusive excerpt from a USAID whistleblower's new book that made me gasp multiple times. It details Trump's dismantling of the humanitarian aid agency & his team/DOGE's shocking ignorance to public health.
'Into the Wood Chipper' by Nicholas Enrich is out tomorrow. Read excerpt here:
Now they’re deporting doctors who serve communities that desperately need medical care? These physicians are not criminals. And now all of their patients are left without care. Who will they come for next? #AbolishICE #MedSky
"This line of inquiry fundamentally misunderstands the role of political access journalism, publishing, and, perhaps most critically of all, some pretty sweet jacket design."
*laughs in horror fan*
Interesting!
