Works reasonably well on Steam Deck too if you grab a community controller profile. I don't have any complaints about the game only have minor stuff that I think would be cool for future patches, like paths being auto extended if you draw them to the border and a random item tool

Very much enjoy the process of walking/ flying around after building a thing looking for nice photographs. It feels very much like the experience irl photography. Also enjoy switching the build into all the other themes once it's done just for fun. I recommend it if you haven't checked it out

I played basically no games last year so I'm trying to play way more this year. Tiny Glade by @anopara.bsky.social is the first game that's connected with me so far. It gets the balance just right between player choice and the procedural assists, currently the stand out in the emerging genre imo
v good post, for me creating art is messy and experimental and the rigid structure of programming (and formal game design practices too) really work against me. in all my other non game dev arty stuff I morph and adjust my process with the art so makes sense for that to be the same for games too

I think it's technically illegal to make a game where you play as a snake if it doesn't grow as you eat stuff (might have bumped the numbers a tiny lil bit for the clip)

I've been really focusing a lot of my efforts so far into making the raw gameplay feel sublime but I've recently started working on some more gamey systemsy stuff so it's actually turning into a real game now
I've updated the camera position in big scary snake monster game and now the game is feeling quite a bit more dynamic and 'in the action' #gamedev

I'm an adhd indie dev :) made a game called Kick Bastards with my also adhd brother and I'm now in the early stages of working on a couple new games
Yeah still early days, haven't done much play testing yet but will for sure see how people feel and do some tweaks
Hmm I think all I do is just quickly zoom the camera ever so slightly in and out but I did implement it a little while ago
