We have reached out to the venue where he was seen last and also the possible concert venue where he might have gone to. But we really need to get the message out to wider public.
Wow

Thousands of advocates attended our recent webinar to learn about the potential impact of proposed #Medicaid cuts, and what our communities can do to defend against them.

I spent 30 minutes trying to undo underlined parts of a document and it wasn’t working. Only to realize that the track changes was on and I was just rewriting the same part over and over.
Ah! So wonderful to hear that our work resonated. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to possible collabs in the future.
Heartbreaking.
I find it to be an equitable way to facilitate classes, after all I am here to learn from students as much as to share my knowledge.
For example: in the Adult Education course students have 45 minutes to facilitate a critical dialogue on a topic of their choosing. Even if it’s beyond the topics stated in the syllabus.
I then ask students to share their vision for the course and we find a way to meet in the middle.
I am often faced with a fact that students have a different vision for a course than I do. So, in every one of my classes I do a disclaimer:
There is interesting research on why individuals whose identities are tied to career (lawyers, doctors, politicians, etc) are reluctant to retire. And it’s not loss of income, it’s “who am I if not…” thinking.
Followed your course last year, it was very helpful.
Love this critical hope framing.
This resonated so much. Once one little thing changes in the system, the domino effect completely derails one’s day…
Cycling in the city is so intimidating, but in winter even more! What a great encouraging video.
Agree, that’s why we need better support systems in place.
So true.
That’s amazing! Our study was actually inspired by seeing our immigrant parents learning to navigate platforms with COVID-19 information. The world has shifted online so quickly for the benefit of “older adults among us” effectively leaving so many of them with no tools to navigate the pandemic.
Learning is a lifelong project. Just because someone is older doesn’t mean they 1) can’t learn or 2) need to be patronized when they do. Our research clearly shows that with support learning doesn’t have to stop. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
It outlines clear dos and don’ts—explaining not just what to say and do, but also what to avoid.

"A lot of our energy... as mothers or in caretaking, has gone outward, and it’s a time when we can actually stop and bring that energy back to ourselves, and it feels pretty damn good.”
We will be happy to share our research!
