Another small mockup with the tileset I've been working on! The graphics for the first area were starting to show their age so I've remade them from scratch (hopefully for the last time!) Also, the tileset finally matches the ruins theme of the battle background used in this zone! #pixelart #gamedev

This is a recreation of key art for the game Mario & Luigi: Brothership, rendered in a style more reminiscent of earlier, Masanori Sato-created key art from the series, particularly focusing on Superstar Saga's look but with some aspects (such as Luigi's purpler overalls) taken from Bowser's Inside Story. I have an obsession with this style.

when brothership came out, i was disappointed with the art style and did a redraw of its key art. i was not a very good artist then. this month i started a playthrough of the game to refresh my opinion, and today, i decided to run it back
