Do you know the signs of stroke? Remember FAST:

πŸ§‘ FACE β€” has it drooped on one side?
πŸ’ͺ ARM β€” can they raise both?
πŸ—£οΈ SPEECH β€” slurred or confused?
⏰ TIME β€” call 999 immediately

Every second counts. Don't wait.

One caller was effectively trapped in his own home, still waiting for a wheelchair.

This is not rare. Too many people are left to cope alone after leaving hospital.

@chsscotland.bsky.social is here for the long road, not just the emergency.

31 people in Scotland have a stroke every single day. Over half never receive the full rehabilitation they deserve.

Yesterday I spoke on @BBCRadioScotland's live phone-in about stroke care, and the stories we heard were heart-breaking. 🧡

Long Covid – the fight for justice The first scandal was that doctors were exposed to COVID due to failings in government PPE provision. The second was that those with Long Covid have been denied the support they need, causing huge fin...

Doctors who had contracted #Covid after working without PPE in the pandemic and have developed #LongCovid are still denied justice and support. And doctors are *still* working without PPE in the #NHS, they are still catching Covid, developing LC.

We continue to fight for people who got sick at work during a pandemic.
#longcovid has not gone away.

I started this fight in 2020 and I'm not giving up. πŸ’ͺ

GPs are being threatened by government if they don’t reply to an online message within a few hrs. However if we diagnose lung cancer, patients wait over 2 months. Where are your priorities @NHSEngland @DHSCgovuk - all patients deserve better but this new attack on GPs is plain wrong

Patients want access to GPs yet there are unemployed GPs

Β£1.7bn to ARRS additional roles ~ 5m appts/month
Β£600m for Pharmacy First to reduce demand on GPs ~ 500k/month

Yet just Β£80m for ARRS GPs & core GP funding 20% less ccd 2015

Half the cost Β£1.15bn = 11k GPs & more appts

Both are possibleβš–οΈ

The graphic shows an illustration of patients queuing at a GP surgery, waiting for appointments, and doctors queuing at a job centre to highlight the GP unemployment crisis - with the copy:

An extra 1.26 million appointments waiting to be delivered every month - if only all newly trained GPs could find a job.

GPs without jobs, patients without care.

4,200 newly trained GPs just graduated from training – yet many can’t find work.

The Government needs to fix the GP unemployment crisis today.
