Free the cord custom tshirt with giraffe and green awareness ribbon. Me with a painful look. Filter over the phone of broken glass.
Hard to believe it’s been six years since my neurosurgery for a rare disease. I often think about how differently things could have turned out — and I’m endlessly grateful to still be able to walk, even when it’s difficult, and to work in DC doing what I love. #TetheredCord #RareDisease #ChronicPain

🙋🏼♀️ Nothing helps me with it (typical!) but I've heard of others benefiting from sleeping on an incline to take pressure off the area. Also heat or ice depending on preference.

6. If someone is masked (me) and you are not and it's a big waiting room that's not crowded, don't f'n sit next to them! I will not hesitate to give you the look. 😷👀
To conclude, try to suck less people.
👇🏻Feel free to add your own waiting room etiquette tips below.

5. Don't have private conversations about C. Diff and poop with graphic details loudly on the phone. Glad to know you were exposed to C. Diff and are now right here (This person is married to loud cell phone guy. See #4.).

4. Phone = silent. There are sick people & people who have sound sensitivities. We don't want to hear the game you are playing on the loudest setting possible or a race car event. There is already music/TV in waiting rooms so there are a bunch of competing sounds & frankly it's a nightmare for many.

3. Finish your cell convo before you enter the waiting room instead of going up to the reception desk with your ear piece in talking to both the receptionist and the person on your phone at the same time. It's rude, yo.

2. Use your inside voice. This one's for the men. No one wants to hear your very loud conversation about how busy and successful you are, sir.

I wrote the below post while in waiting room in 2023 and wow does this still ring true!
Get ready for a giant post on waiting room etiquette! ⬇️
1. Leave your sh*t at the door. No one wants to hear you arguing as a couple. We are not an audience on The Jerry Springer Show.

When you start to feel like things should have been better this year remember the mountains and valleys that got you here. They are not accidents and those moments weren't in vain. You are not the same you have grown and you are growing you are breathing you are living. You are wrapped in endless boundless grace and things will get better. There is more to you than yesterday. - Morgan harper nichols
