A great team effort and collaborative study made possible by @asapresearch.bsky.social and @lrrk2central.bsky.social . All raw data and protocols available in Zenodo and @protocolsio.bsky.social.
Happy to share our new work on LRRK2 and PINK1 signalling in the brain. The two kinases appear to work on parallel pathway, but both converging on cilia. PINK1 KO animals have shorter and fewer cilia in striatal cholinergic interneurons and less GDNF.

Is anyone else starting to think that its all about cillia?
Researchers report PINK1 knock-out mice display cilia defects & reduced GDNF expression akin to LRRK2 mutant mice
