April celebrates picture books! The first on this stack, If You Were A Writer, was given to me by Mom when I was a kid. Mom knew my dream was to be a writer. Having books like this was important to nurture that dream. When we become early readers, it’s a gateway to literature throughout our lives!

Spring means it's time for key lime pie! I baked this one from Mom's classic recipe. Growing up, she always let us arrange the limes in whatever design we wanted, which was a great way to get creative in the kitchen. Fun key lime pie fact, it is the state pie of Florida!
