My neighbors beehive swarmed. I got to help try and catch the swarm before the experts arrived. Thank goodness for the experts with the right tools to catch the bees.
One hive has 18 trays of the clearest locust honey. It’s delicious.

This plant, Amorpha Fruticosa or False Indigo Bush, is about to bloom for the first time. I’m a little excited. I have two of them planted that I grew from seed. Easy to start from seed. Host plant for various skippers and hairstreaks.

So much P. incarnata at my house, i end up pulling lots of it. I try and get enough tap root to pot up for friends, but cant always.
I read about the bee last year and remembered it when I saw the P. Lutea at the garden sale. Knew I had to have it.

Did you know there is a Passion Flower Bee?🐝
It only uses Passiflora lutea for a pollen source. It does not pollinate the plant due to its foraging habit.
