One death from a preventable disease is one too many.
For the 1st time in a decade, a child has died of #measles -- a preventable disease.
The current outbreak is mainly among unvaccinated school-aged kids.
The MMR vaccine prevents infection:
1 dose: ~93% effective
2 doses: ~97% effective
Please: Get vaccinated, and your loved ones, too.

"We have to make it so that health equity is not seen as a side show or an add-on; it's the main event. If you care about health and you care about children, you must care about health equity." Dave Chokshi

Children & youth are put at unnecessary risk when they do
not have access to pediatric medications or child-friendly
formulations. This is not a challenge unique to TB patients, but sadly quite a common occurrence for Canada's kids.

Alberta Medical Association statement regarding the report of the Alberta COVID-19 Pandemic Data Review Task Force
To be CRYSTAL clear: this decision puts American lives & health at risk, in both the short and long term.
We wouldn’t have made Covid vaccines so quickly, stopped Ebola, escaped SARS1, or much more, if not for WHO partnership
This is a bad idea for the *US*- never mind for the rest of the world🛟

Given that politicians seem to care less and less about science, this is just gonna get worse...👇
Why aren’t governments using science? www.nature.com/articles/d41...
80% of scientists say science-advice system broken.
80% say "policymakers lack sufficient understanding of science."
Thanks for these insights!!!
