I picked up this book because it was from the @caltech.edu book store. I leave the book and the person it belonged to. I have a hard time believing that the person this belonged to let it go.

probably big loss that they didn't consider building on the AT-Protocol. They would have millions of people to boot strap. the app.

Also! Did you know that you can publish your Surf Feeds to @bsky.app? Just hit the three dot menu at the top right when you're in your feed in the Surf app, and then select Publish to Bluesky!

This is nice, there has been a slow erosion of why I like to develop on MacOS the deprecated the sandbox-exec hopefully this will allow us to run things like MCP servers and tools in a restricted environment.

Introducing Bounce: a new tool that uses Bridgy Fed to migrate your social graph b/w ActivityPub and ATProto.

Yup, we built a service that moves your social graph *across* protocols.

And the best part? You get to keep *all* of your followers, along with many of your follows.

Will report back with photo soon

"Guests can opt to transform their hot latte into a “selfie-ccino” by scanning a QR code at the register, uploading an image or selecting an image ... and a laser imaging device will burn the photograph or artwork onto the coffee’s foam."

three dot menu `...` that allows you to publish a surf feed onto your bluesky profile.

If you make a surf feed you can publish to your bluesky profile and then people that don't have surf can enjoy the bluesky slice of your feed. ( I have several on my profile if you want to see what they look like)

"The AI" will often insert a different kind of space character into generated text as a hidden marker

I've quoted the character here, it looks like a space but it is unique and not the normal SPACE UTF-8: 20

hidden marker -> ` `
NARROW NO-BREAK SPACE
Unicode: U+202F, UTF-8: E2 80 AF

One more thing on this. Given my connection to Bluesky, every week multiple people ping me with some variation of "I can't believe Bluesky doesn't have *this* feature that it *absolutely needs* and you guys are *so* stupid that you haven't built it yet."
