Accused drug dealers ordered held on bail A Vernon woman with a history of run-ins with the law was ordered held on $10,000 bond Friday afternoon, following her arrest on Thursday.

Her legal counsel, Albie Fox, said she doesn't have $1,000 and if released, wouldn't be going anywhere.

"She doesn't have anywhere to go particularly," adding she is in danger of being evicted from the house on Silver Lane by her mother, who owns the home.

Driver in Putney crash held without bail A 23-year-old New Hampshire man charged with causing the serious crash in downtown Putney that critically injured an elderly Putney woman on Thursday was ordered held without bail Friday.

He told police he had last used heroin several hours before the incident, and his three passengers said they were all asleep at the time of the crash. Police suspect they also used opioids before the crash.

Pruning the trees A crew from ArborClimb in Chesterfield, N.H., trimmed some of the dead branches and trees in a multiday project at the Brattleboro Common.

The $45,675 grant also included funding for a tree management plan and to plant new trees on Main Street, and resources to provide staff training for safe tree removal. The tree management planning is being directed by Bob Everingham from All About Trees.

Tallini has been flying gliders through the New England Soaring Association in Springfield, after being encouraged to do so by his friend, Ben Berg, who told him about the ACE Camp, Aviation Careers Education Academy, at Hartness State Airport in Springfield.
