what i mean by this is that for a very long time the average lifespan was to your 40's if you were lucky! if you're 80 with organ failure that is not something that would have been a problem, because you were already dead,
if the bodily failures that arise from physical aging are seen as issues that natural selection simply hasn't had a chance or reason to fix, then i wanna know what kind of catastrophic rot would happen to a 150-y/o. i don't think immortality is gonna be that easy, folks!
