Go take the State of AI 2026 survey. Let's see where we stand. survey.devographics.com/survey/state...
This would be a war crime. Obviously. Collective punishment.
Tea is the unit of computation for that type of natural intelligence
Just backed Blades '68. The future doesn't wait for anyone.

Save your breath. We've been doing that for over 20 years locally. Exposing their blatant hypocrisy has no effect on shameless autocrats and their faceless minions.
Opposing them with power that cannot be silenced or bought off (ie. grassroots movements) is the only way I've seen that works.
This is amazing
There's a better story to be told if the crown stays like this. Otherwise it's just another trinket from when obscene amount of wealth in money is mixed with abject poverty of taste.
Every accusation a psychopath makes is a confession in disguise.
What we need on X is finisher packs. A feature to seamlessly wrap your content and graph and migrate it to Bluesky.
Culture matters a lot. Over here, those same curb cuts are overwhelmingly used by asshole drivers to park their cars on the sidewalk, or by asshole motorbike couriers to take shortcuts through pedestrian areas.
you’re right! it feels mostly awful to Go Online™, these days. the internet in a sad state, for reason after reason after reason. but there is a way to fix it; to trade the voidful howling for a quiet & joyful song.
here’s how to win the war for the soul of the internet, and build the Web We Want.
I love the dark detail that the terrifying act this monster performs is just a mundane act of survival for it. It probably isn't even aware that what it is doing is quite horrible for the victims.
Too small a detail to see at the typical size it is used at. I wonder if the designer intended it to be seen, or just put it there as an easter egg meant to surprise people just like this. Both are fine as long as it's intentful.
If they get curious about it (and only if they do) they ask more questions, dig deeper, and only as I answer, we see that it’s a a mystery unfolding.
Most of the time, the players just say out loud what they suspect, and that suspicion is the cue forward. Is it true? Maybe. I don’t know yet.
I don’t. That’s the point. I’m not telling the story. The story emerges as we play. So does a mystery. I don’t start a session thinking let’s do a mystery today. Someone asks a question and discovers a vague answer at any random point in the game…
Not knowing about it myself in the first place. I have a lot of vague ideas and questions at the back of my mind, but the actual mystery only materializes as the players do things and roll dice.

It shouldn’t be complicated to open your car door during a vehicle fire or other emergency. But some cars with electronic handles make the manual release hard to find. Join us in telling automakers to fix this problem. Sign our petition today:
That's the idea. It's not easy to tell what it applies to. You have to have someone who knows better tell you. Too many concepts and names.
Worse yet, somebody uses some half-knowledge to make an interesting hack that somehow becomes a fad, and then the web can't move away from that either.
The trouble with CSS and web rendering is that we can't get rid of questionable naming choices of the past because the whole web may depend on it. So we end up coining long and hard-to-understand terms for new and supposedly better stuff. Imagine if that was just `containing-block`…
If it prevented him from signing one more shitty executive order, I guess it's worthwhile.
Agreed. Some patents are just there to block others from doing anything at all. Theoretically, you could take those patents to court and overturn them, but that's such a burden that most of the time you just end up saying "f**k that" and do something else.
Patents were supposed to protect real-person inventors from corporate exploitation by officially acknowledging their work. RN, corporations use them as big sticks to pound at each other.
Patents should be only owned by real persons. Non-transferable. Only licensed non-exclusively.
So it is the genuine human-made SEO slop that they trained the models on?
"Cognitive decline" is a mild statement, as if whatever parameter is nearing a zero point.
The case here is long past the zero point. It's in the negative space, where the level of absurdity is so high that it's truly hard to counter it with usual methods.
Happens to empires in decline.
Names matter. They expose a mindset. Salvation = Belief that a human isn't worth anything until they conform to your template. Army = Endorsement of strategic, well-organized and systematic mass violence as a means to an end.
Now this article made me wonder: What if there was a "dark mode" for screen readers? What would it sound like? Dark?
Do sound-first people have strong preferences about what they hear like sight-first people do? If they had a "mode switch", what would it be?
Something like this?
