My sibling is in a group home. After his last bout of illness (he’s gotten covid every year for the last 4) his balance is way off, he has zero energy, his formerly incredible memory has declined severely, it take him several tries to stand up, and he’s started having falls. He’s not quite 60.
I wonder if the figures even include part time instructors. So many of us have not been offered any courses to teach next term, but there have been no notifications so it’s not like a true termination. Still, teaching PT at two colleges was all I did for work so the end result is the same.
