We’ve launched the Pro Version of the Canadian Mesonet Portal, along with major improvements across all versions of the platform! Pro Version features will continue rolling out gradually throughout the month, so keep an eye out!

A small update from @meso.cssl.ca: we have updated our watches / warnings displayer to match the new colour-coded weather alert system used by Environment Canada.

On a different storm, a wind gust of nearly 130 km/h was reported in North Battleford, SK #skstorm #skwx
Crazy winds caught by @meso.cssl.ca from the storms on August 20th in AB/SK. Maximum wind speed of nearly 150 km/h recorded in Atlee, AB.
Hail track from the MESH product also showed intense hail (~75 mm)

Crazy early season heat along the Red River valley in ND/MN and southern MB. Up to 100F (38C) in Hallock MN, 99F (37C) in Grand Forks, ND and 37.0C (99F) in Emerson MB as of 240 pm local time. All record highs for May 11.

Finally, we've updated the mesonet portal to include even more variables such as solar radiation, wet bulb temperature, wind chill, visibility, and much much more! If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at nmp@uwo.ca.
You can now also search for specific stations and locations by using our search function!
If you’re not a fan of the World Meteorological Organization’s standard notation, you can modify the stations to a more simplified view to gain a clearer understanding of a particular variable!
Weather alerts now have the option to be clicked on to access more detailed information about the specific alert!
You can now save your preferred settings, layers, filters, and view by clicking the export button. This generates a URL that you can bookmark or share with others for easy access!
