So…he wants us all to die, right? Because that’s the only logical reason I can see for any of this.

Yep. I’m 60, and when someone is described as being in their 60’s, I picture someone much older than me. Or maybe I picture myself as much younger than 60. 45, maybe?

One good way to know you’re in a cult is when your top guy has been credibly accused of raping children and you’re still a fan.

My mom died in 2019, 5 days before my birthday. My birthday wasn’t the best that year.

and I’m ready to chuck it. I wish I had read about linen being difficult before buying this yarn. But I figured since I have it, and I want linen fabric, I’ll read about HOW to weave with linen. And it’s still a PITA. So now what? 2/2

Turns out that everyone who says weaving with linen is a PITA is right. Usually weaving is calming and I keep looking at the cloth I’m making and thinking it’s so beautiful. With linen? Not calming. Annoying AF. And I don’t even like the way it looks. I was planning on weaving 11’. I’ve done 6” 1/n

It’s just way too big. I allowed three hours between flights, and I nearly missed my connecting flight. No time to eat, no time to pee, ran half the way, got there just as the gates were closing, out of breath. Way too much stress.

Yeah, I’ve been there a few times, but it’s a pretty long train ride. Faster by plane, but good gawd, that airport! Nope. Just nope. Not going to that airport again.

Yikes! Yeah, here it’s about a mile away at its closest.

We hear trains a few times each night. If either of us is even half awake, we say “train!”

I was in my grandparents’ living room. I was 4 so I didn’t really understand what all the fuss was about. I thought we had been going to the moon for years.

I’ve got all kinds of glue. Absolutely no idea where the oil is.

Maybe it joined my sewing machine oil, wherever that is.

Oh. Is that why my muscles are aching?

Once years ago I was chopping broccoli and a piece flew up into the air and went through a portal to another dimension. But I don’t remember putting the oil *anywhere*. I think it may have gone through a portal on its own.

If you were my sewing machine oil, where would you be?

The #1 way to explain America working properly is by saying “comedians can make fun of he President on TV.” A good way to explain fascism is “the President forces companies to fire those comedians as a condition of allowing them to conduct business.”

My mom taught me when I was a kid, but that was in the 1970’s!

That’s easy. I’m post menopausal. Everything is terrible.

I planted mine 4-5 years ago, but it got trampled when we had the pond put in, and again when we added the waterfall. So it would have been more established by now, but I’m always happy it actually came back!

The Michigan Lily, a lily native to Michigan, stands in my garden surrounded by other native plants in front of a pond. The flowers are orange, facing down, with the petals and sepals beginning to curve backward.
