Spirits are great - but they'll require a maintenance/repair ninja to keep in good condition. Electric Pictures in Orange County (CA) has the expertise and is still running them.

Prelinger Archives went online at Internet Archive on 30 December 2000, just to keep the record accurate.

For 25 years we've given away archival film footage at archive.org/details/prel.... Our images are in uncountable films and videos and play worldwide. And AI video models crawl them. If we kept some of our footage offline, would it be fresher, less likely to be cloned? Just asking.
